Predators Game Day Staff, Liz Amici, Earns WIAC Player of the Year Honors

Amici Leads Volleyball with WIAC Player of the Year Honors

MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – Liz Amici (Sr.-Whitewater, Wis.) received the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference's player of the year award, the WIAC announced today, highlighting the UW-Eau Claire volleyball team's conference recognition. In total, five Blugolds received conference honors, including three first-team selections.

Throughout the season, Amici maintained a .343 hitting percentage, the highest in the conference. She has racked up 346 kills to lead the Blugolds and was one of only two players in the conference to average at least one block each set. Amici also averaged 3.45 points each set for the fourth highest total in the conference. Amici currently ranks third on the Blugolds' career list with 360 block assists and 414 total blocks. Her 148 total blocks this season is tied for fifth on the school single-season chart. This is her second consecutive appearance on the All-WIAC first team.
